Where can I find my username and password?

Your username is everything in your VA e-mail address before the @ symbol and your password will be sent to your VA email address when your account is created.

I've forgotten my username and password. How can I retrieve or reset it?

Please e-mail us at VISN1.LibrarySupportGroup@va.gov and we will send your login credentials.

My Open Athens log in doesn't work! How do I access the library off-site?

VISN 1 does not use Open Athens for logging in off-site. Please contact your local librarian for assistance in establishing an off-site access account.

Is VPN access the same as off-site access?

No. VA VPN access is completely different than Library off-site access.

How long does it take before my off-site access account is active?

Our System Librarian set account set up process is not automated; each account needs to be set up by hand? If you have not heard anything after 24 hours, please e-mail Library Support VISN1.LibrarySupportGroup@va.gov

I've Recieved an Infopath Error when trying to apply for offsite access! What do I do?

  1. Click on the settings icon. It's a little gear at the top right side of your browser window.
  2. Click on Tools.
  3. Click on Compatibility settings.; Check the box that says "View intranet sites in compatibility view" is checked.
